I had a conversation recently about 'sentiment'. At the time I thought sentiment was good just because, in my mind, it was you communicating what was in your heart. Just last night I realized the difference between what is fact of the heart and what is nothing more than a want or a feeling. If there's no substance or action behind the communication of sentiment then there is no truth to what is being communicated. Its the equivalent to a drunk guy, that you don't know, telling you he loves you. Actions and words that speak the truth of the heart are difficult to recognize to the receiver. If its misinterpreted, it leaves the person receiving the sentiment feeling alone and misguided.
